The event has been held since 1989. Adult and junior age divisions are offered in track and field events and an open-age division boccia competition. Challenge is a member organization of Move United, a national network serving individuals with disabilities of all ages. Join us for an unforgettable experience and celebrate the athletes.
Challenge Games 2024 Schedule
7:00 AM Classification – Competitors who have not been classified must go through an evaluation to determine a regional classification. You will be contacted the week before the meet RE: your scheduled appt time
8:00 AM Coach’s meeting-Team coaches, and all individual athletes or their representatives should attend
8:15 AM Group picture of participants. Please be on the track by 8:15.
8:30 AM Opening ceremony
8:45-11:15 AM Track and boccia competition (power chair boccia players can compete in weave and 100M before going to the gym for boccia)
11:00-12:00 PM Lunch--Free for athletes, $2 for fans, pay onsite
12:15-4:30 PM Field events and slalom
4:30-6:30 PM Free to competitors, $5.00 tickets sold to anyone else. Location—Hubbard Arts Center, 309 N Woodlawn in Derby
6:00 PM Awards presentation!! (at the Victory Dance)
Entry Fees
Entry fees for Challenge 2024 are $25.00 per athlete. This will include a t-shirt, lunch and dinner, awards, and a victory dance. Additional t-shirts and tickets to the Victory dinner and dance for family and friends can be purchased with registration. Purchasing in advance will guarantee availability and decrease the congestion at check-in.
Deadline for entries is May 9
After May 9, entry fee is $40.00
