Have Fun and Help Others!
Volunteer at the Challenge Games!
Saturday, May 7, 2005
Panther Stadium, Derby, Kansas
Thank you for your interest
in volunteering at this year's Challenge Games! This event simply would
not exist if it weren't for our fabulous volunteers who make the meet a
great success year after year.
What are the Challenge Games?
Challenge is a daylong track and field competition for physically
challenged athletes. It provides an opportunity for athletes to compete
against others with similar levels of ability. Each year over 60
physically challenged athletes from Kansas and the surrounding Midwest
participate in this event. Types of disabilities represented at the meet
include spinal cord injury, amputations, cerebral palsy, spina bifida,
and others.
How can I help? Volunteers are
needed for various activities such as: track timers, field event
officials, etc. No experience is needed! We split up our volunteer
corps into morning and afternoon workers so that you are not obligated
to help the entire day. This is a chance to have a great day in the
sun and support some very competitive athletes. Past volunteers will
tell you how enjoyable the event is, and can vouch for the seriousness
of the athletes.
What's in it for me?
A cool T-shirt, lunch, pizza party, and a great time.

email, or mail) for your particular event. If you have not received
your information by May 2nd, please contact us.
